Hmmm......today can be a day where if someone happens to read this most interesting of posts, i cordially invite you to please comment and suggest a topic/topics that you'd like to hear me babble about. You wont be disappointed! Gracias.

Halloween Costume Horrors

Why is it that if you DON'T read your summer reading books, you're the one who gets asked all the questions?? You might say its because the teacher knows you didnt really read it.  Nope, my teacher is totally convinced, because thanks to my lovely new friend John, i knew the basics of the book we talked about. Yaaaaay.

We got a Halloween costume catalogue in the mail yesterday - i've been flipping through it. What do you think, "Pirate Vixen" with knee-high black leather lace-up boots, or five-inch lacy red heels? just kidding. But really....here are some of the best, on a scale of most interesting:
1) "She's Wicked!" black and purple corset dress with arm warmers and thigh-highs, plus black heels with red soles.
2) "Treetopper" is a flowy, filmy, short white dress with a nice tree print wrapping around everywhere. Add in Tree of Life earrings for a whopping $29.95.
3)"Rouge et Noir" Be the Grim Reaper in vampy red this year...frighten small children and the elderly alike!
4)"Faerie Flirtation" is a very small purple & black corset dress with garter stockings and a lovely purple headband-antannae.
5)"Mystic Mermaid" is a sea-green velvet number with a flippy skirt and 3/4 sleeves, complete with a tiny blown-glass ornament bottle on a necklace.
6) "Birthday Bird" A $20 gray T-shirt with "Raven Lunatic" on the front.
7) "Queen of the Nile" is a lovely somewhat weirdly shaped black sheath with a 2-foot wide gold belt and multiple pieces of plastic jewelry.
8)"The Gypsy Princess" is a Esmeralda-type piece with lovely clashing royal purple and sea foam green, with a little gold ribbon and white taffeta thrown in for good measure. Comes with easily make-at-homeable purple head scarf for an extra $10.95.
9)"Bad is Good" - a short leather spaghetti strap dress with buckleboobs and straps, period. Nothing else. For the reasonable price of $99,95.
10) "You Decide" - "lingerie? we call it outwear." Does that say enough, or must I tell you that in consists of only a short, flowy, flimsy dress with almost-nonexistentstraps and designs that call attention to the chest area?

Feel free to vote for your favorites...I'm off to watch a good healthy dose of TV.

Peace, Love & John Mayer to all :)

Computer-induced self-hate.....

is plaguing me! I spent almost 2 days making this amazing "Wishful Thinking" page, with those words surrounded by a huge amount of black and white pictures of things like dancers, flowers, horses, cameras, old-timey cars, a crushed Coke can sitting on pebbles, clocks and barcodes, and old album covers to name a few or my favorites. I worked on this project for the past 2 and a half days so it could be the title-header thing for my blog page, for your optical pleasure. But, when I clicked "Upload", I read the words, "Your file could not be processed. Please try again." What would you do if you were me? Because I sure don't know. i cannot delete the page because i worked so hard on it, but as of about five minutes ago, it has no more purpose in life. It may as well drown its sorrows in bold font and clashing background colors. TTFN, my so-far imaginary readers! Tell your friends about that weird new blogger who hates computers! :)

Looks like I'm crazyblogging...

...But I had to talk about dance class today, my second and (until September 15th) last dance class taught by the amazing Ms. Jennifer Dournaux. Let me take a moment & say that she is the best *cough, only good* dance teacher I've ever had. Anyway...I talked to her after class to ask if she taught any other classes during the year, because I love-love-loved her classes. She said immediately "I knew you were a dancer!" Let me just tell you that that statement completely made my day and possibly my week. Maybe my whole life. I haven't really danced in so long, it just was so amazing to be told I was obviously a dancer. I just cannot even tell you. I would love for dance to be my whole life, just all the time...it's so amazing. You feel free and beautiful and strong and energized all at once, but also really at peace. I have these insanely tight hamstrings, too, so it's hard for me and I have to start at a way beginner level because of that. Its extremely frustrating because all the beginner classes are full of little girls, no teenagers at all. But anyway, Ms Jennifer's class was the best, and right now i'm incredibly sore but feeling amazing. Love to dance.

Meteor Shower!

Forgot to mention----"Perseid" meteor shower tonight! Or actually, way early tomorrow morning. They say the best time to watch is between midnight to 5 a.m. ... but late tonight and tomorrow night we might be able to catch a glimpse or two, if we're lucky with the weather! These are apparently pretty reliable, and the only problems you might have spotting them is bad weather... or bright moonlight, which is supposed be our problem this week. But the brighter ones should be more visible...for you guys in the city, it gonna be harder for you to see them. Same for us in the burbs...but wish me luck, and ditto yourselves...these are supposed to be the prettiest meteors of all :)

Hello World!

Hey, readers, if  you're out there reading this! Hmm, which font do you like best? I like this one. Okay. Here goes. Welcome to Wishful Thinking, my random thoughts blog...huh. Not sure what to tell you guys. Out To Lunch, Be Back Later. Check back soon, have a nice life :)
